Last Night On Earth, Chair
Rob O’Connor is the creative director at design agency Stylorouge. He took up photography at secondary school, and continued to make it an important part of his training when he studied Graphic Design at Brighton.

He joined Polydor Records (now part of Universal Music) as a designer and left three years later as an art director, to set up Stylorouge, which has specialised in the music industry ever since. During this time he has produced and art directed photo shoots with some of the best photographers in the business, and has directed and shot videos for many musical artists.

Inevitably, he took up the camera himself again, shooting for Stylorouge’s own projects and on occasions for publicity use by personalities and company directors. He specialises in portraiture but enjoys turning his hand to most things. Combining photography with design and video has been a great pleasure for him, not because he’s a control freak (honest!) but because it enables him to oversee projects in a visually cohesive fashion and get a closer understanding of his subject.

His portfolio includes shots of McFly, Robert Smith (The Cure) , Sarah Brightman, Ali Campbell, Above & Beyond, Show Of Hands, Mor Karbasi, Chris Difford, Gareth Malone and Imelda May.
